byThis research paper presents the design and realization of a Centralized Patient Information System, with the goal to overcome some of the fragmentation, inefficiency, and security challenges of paper-based and decentralized hospital record systems. The infrastructure was designed to facilitate patient data management, enhance access for selected users, and safeguard medical records' privacy and integrity. Built using ASP. NET C# in Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server for backend data handling, this includes a full-feature set like role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, appointment scheduling, and EHR management. Development proceeded with a methodology of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and prototyping where functionality was incrementally refined. System performance was tested with response time (latency) tests, where the average latency was 127.5 milliseconds, suggesting that the system is efficient in accessing the real-time data. This solution led to improved decision support, less duplication of data and better health service delivery through a secure, centralized digital solution.
